Ingredients
  • Pork belly, cut into bite-sized pieces8 oz
  • Potato, cut into bite-sized pieces1 pc
  • Onion, sliced1/4 pc
  • Chopped green onion3 tbsp
  • Jalapeno, sliced1 pc
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste)1 tbsp
  • Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)1 tbsp
  • Tuna sauce (or fish sauce)2 tbsp
  • Soup stock coins2 pcs
  • Minced garlic1 tbsp
  • Sugar1 tbsp

Recipe

step 1

1. Cut potato and onion into bite-sized pieces. Slice green onion and jalapeno.

2. In a pot, cook pork belly with sugar over medium heat until golden brown.

3. Add gochujang, gochugaru, tuna sauce, soup stock coins, green onion and garlic. Stir well, then pour in water just until ingredients are barely covered.

4. Boil for about 15 minutes, or until the broth reduces to about one-third and thickens slightly.

5. Add jalapeno before serving.
