Stir-fried Spicy Chicken is cooked with a rich, savory sauce that brings heat and depth of flavor. This comforting dish delivers bold flavor and a satisfying kick in every bite.

Ingredients
  • Chicken (bite-sized pieces)1 lb
  • Cabbage (sliced)1/2 cup
  • Onion (sliced)1/2 pc
  • Green onion (cut into pieces)1/2 cup
  • Carrot (thinly sliced)1/3 pc
  • Korean sweet potato (thinly sliced)1 pc
  • Perilla leaves (sesame leaves)5 pcs
  • Marinade:
  • Korean chili flakes2 tbsp
  • Gochujang2 tbsp
  • Sugar2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce2 tbsp
  • Mirin2 tbsp
  • Sesame oil1 tbsp
  • Garlic (minced)1 tbsp

1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.

2. Slice cabbage, onion, carrot, and sweet potato.

3. Cut green onion and perilla leaves into large pieces.

4. Make marinade by mixing Korean chili flakes, gochujang, sugar, soy sauce, mirin, garlic, and sesame oil in a bowl

5. Marinate chicken by adding chicken to the marinade and mix well to coat. Leave it overnight for best flavor (minimum 30 minutes).

6. Heat a large pan over medium heat and saute cabbage, onion, carrot, and sweet potato until slightly softened.

7. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry with the vegetables until the chicken is fully cooked.

8. Add green onion and perilla leaves and cook briefly before serving.
